Cessie Alfonso Donates Mitigation Papers to Harvard University
At the request of Harvard University, Cessie Alfonso recently gifted her papers on capital mitigation to the Schlesinger Library on the History of Women in America. Cessie’s papers will allow researchers to examine her contribution to the abolition of the death penalty in New Jersey and other states and the establishment of the mitigation specialist as a profession.
